Ingredients

Ground Pork Mixture

  • 1/4 kilogram ground pork
  • 1 pc garlic clove, chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • pinch salt
  • 2 tsps cornstarch

Congee Rice

  • 1/2 cup uncooked malagkit rice
  • 1 pc Knorr Pork Cube
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup spring onions, chopped
Cooking Method
  1. In a bowl, combine all the ingredients for the ground pork mixture. Set aside in the chiller.

  2. Wash the malagkit rice two times and drain well.

  3. In a large pot, add malagkit rice, Knorr Pork Cube and water.

  4. Bring to a boil over high heat and then reduce heat to simmer. Cook until rice is tender while mixing occasionally to prevent the bottom from burning. Add water if the mixture thickens too much.

  5. Once porridge is cooked, take your ground pork mixture out of the chiller and drop it into the pot one teaspoon at a time.

  6. Continue to simmer until pork meatballs are fully cooked.

  7. Remove from heat and serve warm.

  8. Top each bowl with chopped spring onions for garnish. You can also serve with other garnishes and sides such as calamansi, fried garlic, egg, or even Knorr Liquid Seasoning Original.
