The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that the primary source of salmonella comes from chicken contaminated by foodborne bacteria. Thus, it is essential to refrigerate chicken within 2 hours of its purchase. More importantly, if you do not intend to cook or use a roast chicken marinade within two days, you must freeze your dressed poultry. Use a freezer-safe plastic wrap to preserve your bird's quality.

Make the glaze by combining butter, cinnamon, lemon zest, honey, apple juice, and cane vinegar in a saucepan over high, bringing it to a boil.
Reduce the heat once simmering and sauce thickens.
Brush the glaze over the apples and set this aside.
Reserve leftover cinnamon glaze for later use.
Take the mashed Knorr Chicken Cube and rub it all over the chicken with rosemary, pepper, and thyme.
Transfer the chicken pieces and glazed apples into a baking dish. Drizzle a little bit of oil over it.
Bake in a preheated oven for 375F or until the meat cooks through.
Plate and pour reserved glaze on top.
Thawing Frozen Chicken Correctly
There are countless ways you can thaw out frozen poultry. As a rule of thumb, never leave the meat in a 40F environment when defrosting to avoid the growth of bacteria.
Before cooking, defrost chicken in the fridge for 24 hours.
Submerge the entire bag of frozen chicken in tap water. Thawing time will depend on the size of the chicken. For best results, change the water every half hour.
Thaw in the microwave, but make sure to cook immediately after.
Advantages of Eating More Chicken
It develops stronger bones and muscles. Your body requires amino acids for stronger muscles, especially when you age. Fortunately, chicken is chock-full of this stuff. Since studies show that high protein intake is essential in maintaining body mineral density, eating chicken can help promote healthier bones and stronger muscles. Regular chicken consumption also reduces the risk of injuries and decreases the possibility of diseases like osteoporosis.
It is loaded with vitamins and minerals. Compared to pork, oven-roasted chicken does not contain a lot of fat. But aside from the high protein content, lean chicken cuts also contain: • Zinc • Copper • Iron • Vitamin B12 • Tryptophan • Choline
It helps in weight management. Weight gain is often the cause of binge eating. But did you know that consuming 25-30 grams of lean protein per meal can help you feel fuller? Protein-rich meals are heavier on the stomach, even when you consume less. Eating moderate amounts of roast chicken can help you sustain a healthy weight and enjoy its benefits.
It boosts your mood. The same amino acids that help strengthen bones and muscles contain tryptophan which boosts serotonin levels in the brain. Although the tryptophan in chicken isn’t enough to give you an instant buzz of euphoria, you can pair it with other ingredients, such as spinach, salmon, and cheese, to push that effect.
