Omelet

  • 2 pcs large eggs
  • 2 tbsp fresh milk (divided)
  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • 1/2 cup cheese of your choice, grated
Cooking Method

Ketchup Fried Rice

  1. In a hot pan, heat up oil and sauté onions and cubed chicken until browned.

  2. Add frozen mixed vegetables and season with salt and pepper.

  3. Next, add the day-old rice. Make sure to press down on the rice and break the large clumps.

  4. Add banana ketchup and Knorr Liquid Seasoning to the fried rice mixture. Mix well and set aside.

Omelet

  1. Whisk 1 egg with 1 tablespoon milk in a bowl. Set Aside.

  2. Heat a small non-stick pan over medium heat. Lightly brush with oil, making sure that the pan is coated well to ensure that the Japanese omelet won’t stick.

  3. Pour egg and milk mixture in to the pan and tilt to coat the entire surface.

  4. Cook the egg until the bottom has set but the top is still a bit runny or soft.

  5. Sprinkle half of the grated cheese and add half of the rice in the middle of the pan.

  6. Using a silicone spatula, gently fold the sides of the omelet over the rice one at a time.

  7. Slide off the pan and onto a plate. Try to roll the omelet to get the top side or seam side be at the bottom of the plate for better presentation.

  8. Repeat with the rest of the ingredients. This recipe makes 2 omurice.

  9. Drizzle with more ketchup as garnish and serve immediately.
