Quick & Easy Carne Asada:
In a small bowl, mash Knorr Beef Cube with olive oil until it forms a paste.
Rub this paste all over the flank steak and marinate for at least 4 hours inside the fridge. For best flavor, marinate overnight.
When ready to cook, fire up the grill and cook the carne asada for 6-10 minutes on each side. You can also use a cast iron pan over the stovetop for this step.
Let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes and then slice into bite-sized pieces. Set aside.
Carne Asada Fries:
Preheat oven to 230°C
In a large bowl, toss the sliced potatoes with oil, salt, paprika, and garlic powder, if using.
Place fries in a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and crispy, flipping the fries halfway through. Make sure to leave ample space in between the fries to ensure they crisp up.
Take out fries from the oven and place bite-sized carne asada on top.
Finish off with the mozzarella and cheddar evenly on top. Place back in the oven and using the broil function, broil for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
Guacamole:
In a bowl, mash avocado with a fork. Mash it well for a creamy consistency with a few chunks left.
Add the juice of the calamansi, garlic, and onion into the bowl. Mix well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Add dollops of the guacamole on top of the carne asada fries.
Other Carne Asada Fries Toppings:
Sprinkle the chopped tomatoes on top of the bed of fries.
