Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 pc egg
  • 200 ml evaporated milk
  • 4 pcs hot dog, halved
  • 1/2 cup water (for cooking the hotdog)
  • for the batter, breadcrumbs
  • 4 cups cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp Lady's Choice Real Mayonnaise
Cooking Method
  1. Combine the dry ingredients, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, salt, and baking powder, in a mixing bowl.

  2. Add the egg and evaporated milk. Combine by whisking together until the batter has reached the desired consistency.

  3. Transfer the batter to a slim container. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

  4. While waiting, cut the hot dogs in half and cook them in a pan with some water. Let them cook on medium heat by rolling them occasionally until evenly cooked.

  5. Remove from the heat and let it cool down once the water evaporates and the hot dogs are thoroughly cooked.

  6. Skew each hotdog with a stick (or bamboo skewer), then dip the hotdog in the chilled batter and dredge into the breadcrumbs. Repeat the process until all hotdogs are coated.

  7. Heat cooking oil in a deep pan or pot. Fry the coated hotdogs in batches over medium-high heat until they turn golden brown and crispy on the outside. Spin them regularly to ensure they’re evenly cooked.

  8. Remove from the heat and place on a frying rack to drain the excess oil. A plate with paper towels can work also.

  9. Spread some Lady’s Choice Real Mayonnaise on top and serve warm. Enjoy!
