Tips

The best way to know the doneness of your steak is checking the internal temperature. Check the temperature by poking your meat thermometer in the thickest part of the steak. Medium-rare would read at 130°F-135°F, Medium at 135°F-145°F, and Medium-Well at 145°F-155°F.

Ingredients

Mushroom Sauce

  • 3 cups water
  • 1 pack Knorr Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 2 tbsps unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic

Steak

  • 4 - 5 pcs ribeye steak, 1-1.5 inches thick
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
Cooking Method
  1. Dissolve Knorr Cream of Mushroom Soup in water. Set aside.

  2. Heat butter in a pan over medium heat. Let butter melt and sauté garlic in butter until fragrant.

  3. Add Knorr Cream of Mushroom Soup mix to the pan. Let simmer and wait for it to thicken. Thin the sauce by adding more water if it’s thicker than desired. Set aside.

  4. Prep the steak for pan-searing by blotting the ribeye with paper towels. A dry surface equals a better crust on your steak.

  5. Season your steak with salt and pepper. Set aside.

  6. Heat a grill pan until smoking.

  7. Add your seasoned ribeye steak to your very hot pan. You may need to cook in batches to not overcrowd the pan.

  8. Cook 1 side for 2 minutes. Flip and then cook the other side for another 2 minutes. Depending on the thickness of your steak, this will yield a ribeye that’s medium doneness. You can adjust the cooking time depending on how thick the steak is and your preferred doneness.

  9. Serve immediately with the mushroom sauce on the side.
