No celebration is complete without the classic crowd favorite Pancit Canton. This year, take the familiar flavors up a notch by adding peanut butter into the mix.

Ingredients
  • 3 tbsp cooking oil
  • 5 pcs garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 pc medium-sized red onion, sliced
  • 250 gram pork liempo, boiled until tender and sliced
  • 1 cup reserved pork cooking liquid
  • 250 gram chicken liver, boiled and sliced
  • 3 tbsp kinchay, chopped
  • 1 pc Knorr Pork Broth Cubes
  • 2 cup cabbage, sliced
  • 1 pc small carrot, sliced into strips
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp chilli garlic
  • 1/4 cup char siu sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 6 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp spring onions, chopped
  • 6 tbsp Knorr Liquid Seasoning Original
  • 400 gram pancit canton
  • 3 tbsp roasted peanuts, chopped
Cooking Method
  1. Get a wok or a large shallow pan and heat it up over medium heat.

  2. Add three tablespoons of oil and sauté the garlic and onions until fragrant.

  3. Add pre-boiled pork, and chicken liver into the pan. Stir fry until the pork is browned.

  4. Add kinchay, Knorr Pork Cube, cabbage, carrots, and black pepper into the pan. Stir until the vegetables are cooked halfway.

  5. Add water and reserved pork cooking liquid into the pan. Bring to a boil and let the mixture boil for 2 minutes.

  6. Strain out the meat and vegetables from the broth and set aside.

  7. Lower the heat and add to the mixture peanut butter, oystersauce, chili garlic, char siu sauce, and brown sugar. Mix well and allow to reduce until slightly thickened.

  8. Add the meat and noodles into the pan and cook until the noodles are soft. Take off the heat and set aside.

  9. In a separate pan, heat 6 tablespoons of oil and add spring onions. Sauté for 2 minutes and then add Knorr Liquid Seasoning Original. Mix well and toss with the cooked pancit.
