For the dressing:

  • 1 cup Lady's Choice Real Mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tbsp onion powder
  • salt, to taste

For the batter:

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 pc egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tbsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

For the chicken:

  • 2 pcs chicken breast fillets
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • oil, for frying

For assembly:

  • 4 pcs burger buns
  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
Cooking Method
  1. Make the dressing: Combine all ingredients in a bowl; mix well. Chill until ready to use.

  2. Make the batter: Combine all ingredients in a bowl; whisk well. Set aside.

  3. Prepare the chicken: Slice each fillet into two. Pound with a mallet. Dredge in cornstarch, then dip in prepared batter. Fry in hot oil until lightly browned and crisp. Drain on paper towels.

  4. Assemble the burger: Spread prepared dressing on the insides of the burger buns. Top a bottom half with shredded lettuce and a crispy chicken fillet. Cover with the top bun. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Serve immediately.

Dress up your chicken burger with other toppings, sauces, and flavorings. If you love anything Korean, replace the lettuce with kimchi and season your dressing with gochujang and sesame oil. If you’re a fan of buffalo-style wings, coat your fillets in a mixture of hot sauce and melted butter. You can also mix in crumbled blue cheese and chopped celery into the creamy mayo sauce. Want something sweet and spicy? Add chili powder to the batter mixture, then drizzle your chicken with honey or maple syrup. The possibilities are endless!
