Make this quick and easy, yet satisfying, longganisa burger at home. With only a handful of ingredients, you can make this Filipino-style burger in only 35 minutes. It’s easy enough to serve on busy days but also great for hosting a party at home with minimal prep. You can choose what type of longganisa to use depending on your mood. Use garlicky Lucban longganisa or the ever-popular Vigan longganisa. Whatever you choose, make sure to not skip the creamy garlic mayo sauce that packs a punch of flavor and adds creaminess to this burger.

Tips

Toast your burger buns in mayonnaise or butter before assembly to prevent them from getting soggy when topped with the sauce, burger, and eggs.

Ingredients

Toasted Garlic-Mayo

  • 3 tbsps neutral oil
  • 1/4 cup garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Lady's Choice Real Mayonnaise

Longganisa Burger

  • 10 pcs store-bought skinless longganisa
  • 4 pcs eggs
  • 4 pcs burger buns, sliced horizontally
Cooking Method

Toasted Garlic-Mayo

  1. Heat oil over medium-low heat. Add the chopped garlic in warm, not hot, oil to make sure it doesn’t burn. Cook garlic while stirring occasionally for 7 minutes or until golden brown.

  2. Remove garlic from oil using a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Allow to cool before adding to a bowl and mixing with Lady’s Choice Real Mayonnaise.

Longganisa Burger

  1. In a hot pan, make sunny side up eggs. Set aside for assembly later.

  2. Remove longganisa from casings and mix together in a bowl. Divide meat into four equal parts and form into burger patties.

  3. In a hot pan, fry longganisa patties until cooked through. Set aside.

  4. To assemble, spread toasted garlic-mayo mixture onto sliced sides of buns.

  5. Place cooked longganisa patties on the buns and then top with the sunny side eggs. Finish by topping with the other side of the buns.

  6. Serve immediately with extra toasted garlic-mayo on the side. Feel free to add shredded cabbage, tomatoes, and onions. Personalize this Filipino-style burger to your liking!
