Make the spice mix in a large bowl: ground ginger, garlic powder, turmeric, chili powder, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, ground nutmeg, and ground star anise.
Crush the fried onions, and add it together with yogurt, mint, cilantro, and green chili to the mix —season with salt to taste.
Add the beef and Knorr Beef Cube, and mix thoroughly. Let it stand overnight.
Transfer the marinated beef to a stockpot and add enough water to cover the meat. Bring to a boil, then simmer until tender, adding more water as needed.
Meanwhile, heat the oil flavored from the fried onions in a large sauté pan. Add the rice and stir-fry.
Add the milk colored by the kasubha to the rice. Season to taste.
Transfer to a plate and top with beef and its sauce. Enjoy!
