DIY Heart Calzones: Cute & Easy Chow for Valentine's Day!
Valentine’s Day is when we pull out all the stops for our significant other – enormous flowers, jewelry, and fancy dinners in the city. But, not everyone is into grandiose celebrations. Some prefer a simple yet romantic dinner at home with music in the background. For these lowkey Valentine’s Day celebrations, this DIY Heart-Shaped Calzone recipe is perfect. It’s cute and easy to make so you can spend more time cuddling on the couch. Because it’s lowkey, we’re not making calzone dough from scratch. Instead, we’re using frozen pizza dough and cutting them into small hearts for some much needed V-Day cuteness. For the filling, we keep it simple with the classic chicken and mushroom calzone combo with an extra dose of umami all thanks to Knorr Liquid Seasoning Original. To take it up a notch, we serve this dish up with a creamy and oh so tangy garlic mayo dip because we still want to be a little extra for Valentine’s Day.
Tips
Make this ahead of time by freezing the assembled heart-shaped calzones. To bake, preheat your oven to 400F and add 10-15 minutes to your bake time.

Heat a pan with olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic until fragrant and translucent. This will take around 2 minutes.
Add the mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes or until the liquid evaporates and they begin to brown.
Add chicken and Knorr Liquid Seasoning in the pan and cook for about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
Make the Heart-Shaped Calzone:
Preheat the oven to 400F.
Dust with all-purpose flour the surface where you will roll out your pizza dough on.

In a medium sized bowl, combine the filling with mozzarella cheese.
Place 4 heart-shaped dough on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Distribute the calzone filling with cheese evenly between the 4 heart-shaped dough.
Place the remaining 4 hearts on top of the filling and use a fork to seal the edges.
Brush the top of the heart-shaped calzones with the beaten egg.
Bake the calzones for 15-18 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
Make the Garlic Mayo Dip:
