Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic, chopped
  • 2 pcs red onions, sliced
  • 1 kg beef buto-buto or ribs
  • 1/2 kg beef cube or canto, cut into small cubes
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 pcs Knorr Beef Cubes
  • 1 tbsp whole black pepper
  • 2 pcs star anise (optional)
  • 1/2 kg egg noodles, cooked according to package instructions
  • 1 bunch spring onions, cut in half
Cooking Method
  1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until golden brown. Add onions and cook until onions are soft, making sure to move them around to prevent burning.

  2. Add the beef ribs, beef cubes, water, Knorr Beef Cubes, pepper, and star anise (if using) into the pot. Let it boil and skim off the foam on the surface of the broth.

  3. Reduce heat to a simmer and cover. Cook until the beef is fork tender.

  4. Separate the beef pieces from the broth using a strainer. Slice big pieces of beef into smaller pieces. Set aside.

  5. Prepare the egg noodles according to package instructions and divide into serving bowls.

  6. Top noodles with beef pieces, chopped spring onions, and hot broth. Serve immediately.
