Ingredients
  • 4 pieces cream dory fillet
  • 2 tsp calamansi juice
  • 1 tsp pepper

For the breading:

  • ½ cup flour
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • oil for frying

For the sauce:

  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 pc onion chopped
  • 2 pc garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger, chopped
  • 6 pieces tomatoes, cubed
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 pack (33g) Knorr Ginataang Gulay Recipe Mix
  • 2 tbsp bagoong
  • 1 piece sili sigang
  • pepper to taste
Cooking Method
  1. Let’s begin by marinating the fish fillet in calamansi juice and pepper. Leave for at least 15 minutes to infuse flavor.

  2. Combine the ingredients for breading. Coat marinated fish fillets and fry them in a preheated pan with oil and cook until golden brown. Drain on a plate lined with paper towels to blot off excess oil.

  3. Now, get another pan and make it nice and hot over medium heat. Pour some oil and sauté onion, garlic and ginger until the vegetables give off a nice aroma.

  4. Next, put in the tomatoes then the water and Knorr Ginataang Gulay Recipe Mix. Mix well until free of lumps.

  5. Gently add the bagoong with the sili sigang, season with pepper and that’s it. Help yourself with a platter full of Binagoongang Fish sa Gata. With a big serving of rice, see how you’ll find it hard to move on from the deliciousness of this dish.
