Ingredients
- 1 pc large banana heart (puso ng saging)
- 150 grams fatty pork
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Knorr Liquid Seasoning
- 1/3 cup cane vinegar
- 1/4 cup water (plus more for boiling)
- 6 pcs garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup water (for cooking the hotdog)
- 2 pcs shallots, minced
- to taste salt
- to taste freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
You can skip the pork if you want to make this a vegetarian dish.

Clean the banana heart thoroughly and remove the outer layer. Slice into wedges and boil until tender. This would take 30 minutes or less.
Dry the banana heart, and once it’s cool enough to handle, slice it into smaller pieces. Set aside.
Add oil in a wok and fry the pork pieces until they turn brown.
Add the shallots and stir fry for two minutes. Add the banana hearts and stir fry again for two minutes.
Add soy sauce, Knorr Liquid Seasoning, and vinegar. Let it simmer for 5 minutes on medium heat. Add a bit of water if it dries out.
Season with salt and pepper, then serve while it’s hot.
