The humble egg sandwich spread is a classic for a reason. Loved by everyone from kids to adults, this scrumptiously simple yet creamy sandwich staple is as delicious from the bottle as it is in between bread.

Did you find yourself making too much egg sandwich spread? It's not a mistake. Your egg sandwich spread can serve a bigger purpose. Apart from being a terrific baon idea, you can use it as an eggstra special breakfast or to entertain guests or treat your kids' playmates. Here are six new egg sandwich spread ideas if you want to take a turn towards the unusual.

Mexican Style Egg Salad

Adding a Mexican twist to your egg salad is a convenient way to change things up if you get bored with your usual tricks. Mash some avocado, add in some spices (try cumin and cayenne or chipotle pepper powder if you want a kick of spice), mix in some diced tomatoes, onions (spring or red onion will work well), chopped fresh cilantro, and a squeeze of fresh lime juice and voila!

Serve this revamped egg sandwich spread as a dip with some tortilla chips or add it to a burrito with some shredded chicken for a delicious protein-packed lunch.

Tuna and Egg Salad Lettuce Cups

Are you looking for a super speedy, healthy lunch option? This egg sandwich spread idea might be for you. You can make it in five minutes or less. Grab a can of tuna, a head of lettuce (think something sturdy like romaine or iceberg), and your egg sandwich spread.

Mix the tuna and egg until combined and set aside as you prepare your lettuce. Gently peel the lettuce leaves off to keep them intact so you can use them as cups. Then scoop your tuna and egg mixture into the leafy cups and enjoy!

Caesar Salad Deviled Eggs

There is nothing devilish about these delicious little canapes. This hack is the perfect leveled-up egg salad recipe if you enjoy Caesar salads. Make things quick and easy by using Lady’s Choice Caesar Dressing! Spoon some into your prepped egg sandwich spread until you’re happy with the taste. Put it aside. Hard-boil some eggs and remove the yolks (keep these to spread on toast or add to salads later!). Then, scoop your egg mixture into the empty whites. Add some bacon bits, a sprinkle of parmesan, and a small lettuce leaf to garnish.

English Breakfast Muffins

Skip the drive-through and use your egg sandwich spread to make a yummy McMuffin dupe. Your family will thank you for this healthier alternative.

You can usually find English muffins in the grocery. However, pandesal is good, too. Prepare your muffins by slicing them like you would a burger and toasting them lightly. Spread your egg blend on one half, layer with a slice of cheese and a thick piece of ham or any breakfast meat you prefer (sausage? Yes! Spam? delicious), and serve!

Smoked Salmon, Egg, and Avocado Blinis

These Russian pancakes would be great for any home-based dinner party or your child's tea party. You can find frozen blinis at the supermarket or make them at home. The recipe is similar to pancakes.

Chop up some smoked salmon and avocado, and mix them with your egg sandwich spread. Top the mixture over your blini then crown it with fresh dill for garnish for an extra fancy touch.

Chicken and Egg Vol-au-Vent

If you want to impress your family and friends, try making this creamy and crunchy chicken and egg vol-au-vent. This delightful dish is a small, hollow round of puff pastry that you can stuff with various fillings. To make them, start with a sheet of frozen puff pastry. Use a cookie cutter to cut out some circles. Then, use a slightly smaller one to dig out a shallow crater from each round.

Bake them following the instructions and leave them to cool completely. While waiting, mix your egg sandwich spread with some shredded, cooked chicken. Then fill your cooled pastry with your chicken mix and top with some curly parsley.

So the next time you are wondering what to do with all that egg sandwich spread, try making one of these innovative egg recipes instead! As much as everyone loves this classic in just a sandwich, there are so many other ways to enjoy it! Trust us when we say no one will be complaining about these new dishes.
